Gary tells us that they went to Africa in April to visit his son, Adam, who works in Zimbabwe. They spent two and a half weeks traveling through Mozambique into Malawi. Then they went up to Lake Malawi and stayed at Nhkota Bay.

After a while, they then traveled to the tropical part of Zimbabwe into the Vumba Mountains, where Gary and Adam played a few rounds of golf at the Leopard Rock Golf Club, which was very nice, he said. Used electric carts with a caddy to provide advise on the course layout and associated secrets.

It was a great trip. Gary said that it's too bad that he missed the golf outing in Alabama but the Africa trip was well worth it and it was get to see Adam and the family again. "Next year I'll be in Mobile for the 2008 outing," he said.
